Good day is my favorite sweet treat place! I love their coconut matcha and their good day Vietnamese coffee. But of course my hands down favorite are the macarons. We used them for our wedding and we should’ve order more because there were none left pretty quickly into the night. The owners are so nice and you can tell they really care about their customers. They are active on social media too which helps those know what flavors they have and if they are sold out of any kinds. Cannot recommend this place enough!
Good Day is an absolute gem in Ankeny! The macarons are top-tier, the shop is beautifully curated, and the team is incredibly kind and welcoming. You can tell how much care goes into every detail—from the desserts to the atmosphere. We’ve loved supporting them and look forward to every visit. If you haven’t stopped by yet, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to something sweet—you won’t regret it!
Absolutely delicious drinks. The environment is so cute and cheerful. They play an interesting lofi beats playlist which is nice and soothing, plus they have the open daylist, many spots to sit, and the nicest people working. I’d definitely recommend their matcha, as well as their Vietnamese coffee. In addition to their macaroons. This place is hand crafted from the ambiance to the drinks and food. Couldn’t give it high enough praises. Will definitely be coming back!
One of my favorite cafes in the DSM area! The drinks are amazing. I've been told the coffee is the best there is, and I love the variety of non-coffee drinks as well (the chai latte here is the best one I've had of anywhere!) The macarons are amazing. Each macaron flavor is distinct and delicious, and they taste great every single time I get them. Staff are always so kind and welcoming, and they are also great to work with for custom orders. All around wonderful place, people, and product. I can't recommend them enough! ❤️
I ordered a 9 tier tower for my graduation party this last weekend and it was phenomenal!! When I went to pick it up everyone was extremely kind and helpful, they carried it to my car and gave me advice alone with 6 extra macaroons that couldn’t quite fit. During my party I didn’t get to have any but I had multiple people come up to me telling me how amazing they were and asking where they were from! I definitely recommend Good Day for an event!!
I thought I had already left a 5* review and came to update that the service is consistently amazing, but realized I had not reviewed them yet! They deserve 10 * This place is the best! I don't drink coffee, but love this place so much I decided to try it once, they made sure I left liking my drink! They are great people who make great products. My favorite mac is the fruity pebbles one! Everything I have ever tried here was delicious 🥰
If you haven't visited Good Day DSM, you really should! I can't say enough about this delightful shop. The owners and their staff are always helpful and kind. But now, let's talk about their macarons and their specialty drinks. Both food and drinks are SO GOOD AND FLAVORFUL! I have not had one item that has disappointed. I especially love that they can create custom orders. I have designed custom macaron towers for my niece's bridal shower, baby shower and last minute birthday party favors. I'm a graphic designer and Anna was able to use my artwork files and place them directly onto the macarons. Anna was able to make that vision come to life every single order! Their flavors are amazing, but not overly rich or too sweet. The bite of the macaron is light and perfect! If you enjoy coffee the Vietnamese iced coffee is a winner and a must try. Chef's kiss. Yum! I can't recommend or thank Anna and Tristin enough for being around in the Ankeny community. If you're reading this, stop by. You won't regret finding this gem!
This place is 5-Star for a reason and my 3 year old granddaughter loves to go here and finally got me to go! I ordered the Vietnamese Iced Coffee, light on sweetener, and several types of macarons. Best coffee drink in Ankeny IMO and the macarons were perfect. GREAT place to just chill out for a bit. Folks working there super nice too.
We ordered custom macarons for our holiday gift for The Monroe and they came out soooooo cute! Anna was so lovely to work with! We will definitely be ordering again. Thank you so much for providing us with such yummy treats. 🙂
it is so cute in here! great music well, and all staff and owners are so sweet. lots of windows and light, good seating for studying and hanging out, and the coffee was great. i got the good day latte, their signature drink, and it was great. sweet, but not too sweet as somebody who doesn’t like when sweet drinks are sickly sweet. it was super creamy and the espresso is very good! i haven’t tried the macarons yet but am excited to! parking is right outside as well.
